Trump and Putin Will Meet One-on-One in Finland, Officials Say

President Vladimir Putin kicks a ball during a World Cup event in Moscow’s Red Square on June 28

Russian President, Vladimir Putin has reacted to his country's 4-3 penalty loss to Croatia in the ongoing World Cup.

"I might even end up having a good relationship" with Putin, said the real estate mogul, who also denounced "75 percent" of journalists as "downright dishonest".

He said: "We feel like conscripts, when they come to just before they have done their two-year (national) service, like those a bit demoralised who wanted to stay in the army for some more time longer".

Coach Stanislav Cherchesov led his team onto a stage to a heroes' welcome in a Moscow fan zone on a sunny day that was meant to put a patriotic exclamation point on Russia's ability to beat the odds.

68-Year-Old Father Found Dead After Fatally Shooting His Teenage Children
Neighbours return to their house next door to where two teenagers were shot in their bedrooms on Hull Road , West Pennant Hills. The dead man and the teens' 36-year-old mother had fought for custody of the children over the last two years, McFadden said.

Croatia prevailed from the spot after misses from Fyodor Smolov and Mario Fernandes, whose dramatic extra-time equaliser had forced the shootout, saw Russian Federation bid farewell with their heads held high and having wildly exceeded expectations.

Cherchesov's men produced a courageous performance in the quarter-final against Croatia, netting an equalizer with less than five minutes remaining in the game.

Saturday's match is a huge one for Russian Federation, who have never reached the semi-finals of the World Cup, although the Soviet Union got there in 1966. We lost in a fair and great game.

"People not only started to believe in us, but the whole nation loves us now", he said. "I'm really happy that we made it to the quarters for the first time in history", said Artyom Osadchy, a student.

Belgium holds off Brazil’s comeback effort to reach World Cup semifinals
Meanwhile, Manchester City's De Bruyne warned Belgium not to get carried away and said they had achieved nothing yet. One of them was Philippe Coutinho , who admitted it was tough to take because their dream was to win the tournament.

"We trusted ourselves. We could only prove our worth by working hard", said Cherchesov. "We felt your support from the first second".

Numerous football fans, foreign state officials and politicians, as well as experts have already praised Russia's organization of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, noting the warm-hearted hospitality in all of 11 hosting cities, but branded the outcomes of this world championship as utterly unpredictable.

"We hope we have turned this situation for the better. We succeeded but we have to keep going forward". We will have to do something with our players to play against them and individually our players will have to play well'.

"You saw who took the penalties".

England's Gareth Southgate: Young squad 'not the finished article' yet
The Mirror says FA chiefs are confident Southgate will snub any big club job if he is head-hunted after the World Cup. Despite reaching the semifinals, Southgate was keen to stress that his players were still developing.
