Trump's longtime personal driver sues for overtime wages

President Donald Trump's former personal driver of more than 20 years has filed a lawsuit against the Trump Organization alleging that he was forced to work "thousands of hours" of overtime without fair compensation.

A NY man who said he was Donald Trump's personal driver for more than 20 years sued the USA president's company on Monday, claiming he was stiffed out of thousands of hours of overtime pay.

Cintron said his salary was raised to $68,000 in 2006 and then to $75,000 in 2010, but the latter increase required him to surrender health benefits.

Trump didn't give Cintron a raise in over 12 years - and even yanked health insurance worth almost $18,000 a year, according to court papers.

The lawsuit says that Cintron was exploited, describing his treatment as being "in an utterly callous display of unwarranted privilege and entitlement and without even a minimal sense of noblesse oblige", and also pointed out the irony of working for a billionaire and being paid poorly.

Cintron was the personal driver for Trump for a whopping 25 years and said he had to be on the job by 7 a.m.in the morning.

Noel Cintron sued the tycoon-turned-president's business, the Trump Organization, in a NY state court. Just a year ago, a supply company claimed they were never paid for paint that was used to re-paint Trump's luxury golf resort. Great, right? Well, Noel says he got another raise in 2010, but this time Trump pulled a fast one on him.

China may be exerting 'negative pressure' on North Korea
However, the North Korean Foreign Ministry later released a lengthy statement that criticized the US focus on nuclear weapons. Analysts said that North Korea's statement was not unexpected but that there may indeed be a long way to go in U.S.

"Once the facts come out we expect to be fully vindicated in court", the spokesperson said.

The Trump Organization did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Cintron, 59, lives in Queens, New York, his lawyer, Larry Hutcher, said in a phone interview.

In addition to the unpaid overtime, Cintron claims the Trump Organization failed to provide annual wage notices as required by NY law. He lost his position once Trump became president and the Secret Service took over the driving, reported NY Daily News.
