Netflix Debuts "Smart Download" Feature As Boost For Binges

Netflix makes it easier to manage downloaded shows on Android

When the Netflix app detects that an episode of a TV show has been watched, it will download a new episode and delete the old episode only when the device is connected to a Wi-Fi connection. Users of Netflix's Apple iOS apps will have to wait a few more months to get Smart Downloads. Said Cameron Johnson, Director of Product Innovation at Netflix. All this happens automatically and over Wi-Fi to keep data usage in check.
