Star Wars Films May Not Stream Unitl 2024

Walt Disney Co.is suffering from seller's remorse. However, the media landscape is rapidly changing, and studios like Disney are increasingly interested in retaining the rights to their films to make them available on their own services. To complicate matters further, a separate deal was cut with 20th Century Fox for the first Star Wars movie, A New Hope, Variety reported at the time.

Although there will be new Star Wars content, fans might think twice about subscribing if they're more interested in the older films. I can't tell you, but if I had to guess I'd say they want people to watch the movies on their cable stations.
