Olivia Newton-John Reveals She is Battling Cancer For The Third Time

Newton-John had breast cancer in 1992 and was diagnosed for a second time in 2013, when a new breast cancer spread to her shoulder.

A third cancer tumour was found in her lower back in 2017.

Olivia Newton-John has confirmed she's facing her third battle with cancer.

In an interview with Australia's "Sunday Night," the "Grease" star revealed doctors found a tumor at the base of her spine a year ago. She's cut sugar out of her diet entirely, and is also taking cannabis oil for her pain.

However, there was more heartache for the star when she was diagnosed with cancer in her shoulder in 2013, after she was involved in a minor vehicle accident.

When asked whether she was anxious about the cancer, she defiantly responded: "I believe I will win over it, and that's my goal".

"I'm very lucky to live in a state where it's legal and I have a husband who is a plant medicine man - how lucky is that?" she said. As a result, she turned to her husband's Amazon Herb Company as well as the oncology team at her Melbourne Cancer and Wellness Centre throughout 2012.

In California, it's legal to grow a certain amount of plants for your own medicinal purposes.

"He makes me tinctures. I'm still treating it and I'm treating it naturally", she said on Sunday.

"I feel so fortunate to have had the success I've had, and to do the wonderful things I do", she continued. She notes her husband has been her rock through it all and that "I believe I will win over it".

"The first time I talked about it, and the second time I thought I didn't really need to share this, it's not something I need to share with people", she said.

"I'm a very privileged person, and I'm very aware of that": Olivia doesn't spend any time feeling sorry for herself, despite her health struggles. I have all the animals that I adore.
