Selena Gomez has reportedly checked into a mental health facility following an "emotional breakdown". It is believed Gomez's condition was brought on by ongoing problems with her physical health.

TMZ reported Thursday that the "Wolves" singer was hospitalized the first time after she broke down in September over an "alarmingly" low white blood cell count in the wake of her kidney transplant.

However, weeks later the singer had to be re-admitted as her low blood cell count persisted. When doctors told her she couldn't leave the hospital, the sources said she had an "emotional breakdown" and attempted to rip IV tubes out of her arm.
